What you will learn in the
Germany Trip Planning MASTERCLASS:

Before you complete this course:

1. You want to travel to Germany on an ancestry-inspired trip, but since there are so many different options on what to do, how to get around and where to stay, you feel overwhelmed. Because of this, you don’t know where to start and postpone or (worst case scenario) even cancel your trip to Germany.
2. You know that your ancestors were from Germany, but you don’t know much about their lives back in the home country. You are wondering: Why did they decide to emigrate? How did they live back in Germany? And what was their emigration experience like?
3. You do not have the time for planning an in-depth itinerary for your Germany trip or simply run out of time before you depart for Germany, which causes "last minute stressing out".

After you've completed this course:

1. In the 9 modules of the course, you followed a proven step-by-step guide of how to plan your trip. By dividing all the important decisions into manageable portions, you got one thing done at a time. Now you can be sure that you did not forget anything important.
2. By working through modules 4 and 5, you gained a lot of background information on the time periods that your ancestors lived through as well as which historical events formed the culture and traditions in Germany. Now you feel well-prepared for the experiences on your trip.
3. By joining our online course, you took a shortcut that saved you a ton of time googling to find all important information yourself. Now, you have more time and peace of mind to look forward to walking in your ancestors' footsteps.

FAQ

We answer your most
frequently asked questions

Is joining the waiting list free?

Yes, joining our waiting list is 100 % payment-free, non-binding and with no obligation to buy the course later on.

Is there any advantage of joining the waiting list?

Yes, there are several benefits! If you decide to buy the course, you will receive an exclusive bonus only available to those that were on the waiting list when the course launches. Also, once the registration for the next course opens, you will be among the first to get notified via email. So you can make sure not to miss the launch date of the next online course.

Can I get a refund if I am not happy with the course?

We offer a voluntary 14-day money back guarantee. Just let us know by writing an email to support@myancestorsjourney.com and we will fully refund you.

How long is the course duration?

Once the course opens, the official running time is 3 months or 12 weeks (in line with the 3 monthly live coachings that cover all modules of the course). However, you will have access to all course contents for 12 months , so you can complete it in your own time.

Can I purchase now and start later?

Yes, you can purchase the course once registration opens and complete it whenever you like within a 12-month period. You will have access to the course for 12 months and have the possibility to exend it even further if you wish to do so.

Will I learn about genealogy research in this course?

For the most part, no. Please note that this course is about ancestry-inspired trip planning only. We will cover how to find your ancestral hometowns, living relatives and specialized tour guides in this course. But we will not cover any genealogy or ancestry research questions related to specific documents, complex ancestry research “brick wall” issues, old German handwriting or anything similar.

Is this course suitable for all skill levels or do I need to have done in-depth ancestry research before?

Generally speaking, the course is open to all skill levels and you technically do not need to have done any ancestry research beforehand. Some people just know that their ancestors were from Germany and want to travel to Germany just to experience being in the country themselves. But, if you do plan to visit your ancestral hometown(s) and other places where your ancestors have been or where you can learn more about their lives, we do recommend that you have done some basic ancestry research beforehand. More on that in the next question.

I don't know where my ancestor was from in Germany. Can you help me?

Yes. We will cover how to find your ancestral hometown(s) in module 4 (Your Ancestor's Journey). Please note though that in order for finding your ancestral hometown, you will need to have done some basic ancestry research beforehand. You will need to have some sort of documents, ideally emigration papers, which state where your ancestor came from at the time they boarded the ship overseas.

Is this course for Americans only?

The course has been designed primarily for US-Americans who have German ancestors. However, you can also take it if you are from another part of the world (for example Canada or Australia) and plan a trip to Germany to learn more about your German ancestors.

How long will I have access to the course?

Once you bought the course, you will have access to it for 12 months.

If I want more support after a year, can I renew?

Yes, there will be a possibility to extend the time period that you will have access to the course for an extra charge. More on that once the course begins.

Will I have access to all course contents at once?

Because we are offering a 14-day money-back guarantee, you will only have access to the first modules (1-4) once the course starts. Modules 5-9 and the bonus content will be unlocked after this 14-day period is over. However, you have the option to waive your 14-day money-back guarantee. This will then unlock all modules and bonus contents at once. If you wish to do so, simply write us an email to support@myancestorsjourney.com.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, you can. You can choose to either pay the course amount in one single payment, in 6 monthly payments over 6 months or in 12 monthly payments over 12 months.

Is my payment secure?

Absolutely. For the payment processing, we partnered up with Elopage – a trusted and specialized payment partner for digital products from Germany.

How and where can I ask individual questions about planning my trip?

While you have access to the course (12 months), there will be one live online call via Zoom every month with tour guide and German native Sonja Irani. If you can't make it to the live call, you can watch the recording afterwards. You will also have the option to ask specific questions in our closed Facebook group. Especially the Facebook group and the live calls are a great way to connect to other ancestral travelers that are planning a trip to Germany. So you can benefit from commonly asked questions as well as exchanging ideas and inspiration for planning your own, individual trip to Germany.

My question has not been answered. How can I contact you?
